Social Media Volunteer

Are You a Natural Content Creator?

Help Us Stay Current
Online

Our programs at the LGBT National Help Center provide vital support to those who are the most vulnerable in our community.  Social media volunteer can help get the word out on our important work and help those who need support find it. Social media volunteers can also be a way to find different outlet for those who may not be ready to call a support hotline, but still find ways to connect to the community.  Working with the office staff, these volunteers can offer their unique voices and experiences while creating fresh content for the online community.

ALL OF OUR VOLUNTEER POSITIONS ARE REMOTE AND VOLUNTEERS MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OLD

DO YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH CREATING AN ACTIVE SOCIAL MEDIA PRESENCE?

DO YOU HAVE KNOWLEDGE OF THE LGBTQ+ COMMUNITY, WRITING SKILLS, AND CREATING GRAPHICS (THROUGH ADOBE, CANVA, ETC.)?

Volunteer Positions are Flexible

This is a Completely Remote Volunteer Position

We’re looking for volunteers who are reliable and can commit to a year of volunteer service. (Though we’d love it if you wanted to stay longer!)

Want to Volunteer?

What are your interests?  Beyond getting the word out on the services we provide to the community, we want to be able to offer insight on LGBTQ+ content that may help those on their journey of self discovery feel less alone.  Do you like LGBTQ+ history? Do you love to dig into current LGBTQ+ news?  Want to delve into LGBTQ+ law and what it means for the community? Are you a reader of queer books or aficionado of Qcinema? Your interests can help you shine, so let us know what you might be interested in focusing on.

We’re looking to create a team of different volunteers to take up several different roles. One volunteer does not have to fulfill them all, and we'd love to know more about the experiences you may have that would be helpful in a Social Media volunteer role.
