we rise together

HELP US FUNDRAISE

The LGBT National Help Center has been offering free and confidential support to the community for nearly 30 years through our national hotlines and online programing. We firmly believe that this is a community that is worth fighting for and offering a safe and affirming space. We’re not going anywhere. During these troubling times though, we need also need help! Your financial support can help ensure that we can continue to provide highly trained care givers as the need for our services increase.

YOU CAN HOST A FUNDRAISER!

Get your creative juices flowing, you know your local community the best.  Here's your chance to let your know-how shine! Think outside the box and and get creative.  By hosting or sponsoring a fundraiser you are directly helping out the LGBTQ+ community by aiding an organization that's mission is to uplift and care for the LGBTQ+ community nationwide.  Not only are you supporting us, you are giving your community a chance to also be active in coming together and providing critical care to those who need it the most.

Step 1.

Know the Who and WHY

As a host of a fundraiser you get to be the ambassador to your community on the services the LGBT National Help Center provides and why our programs are vital, especially right now.

some of the facts:

Experience & growth

-30 years of experience serving the community with no plans on going away. Actually, we're planning on expanding services as needed!

Support

-Services focus on providing support and care for those dealing with concerns or issues on gender and/or sexuality, feelings of isolation, fears of coming out, bullying and discrimination, relationship concerns, HIV and Safer Sex information, suicide prevention and so much more. While we never give advice or tell someone what to do, everyone has the right to find support and and place to be able to build the tools to live their lives on their own terms.

Community

-Because of the current climate, our community is dealing with even more challenges to being able to live their authentic lives. With a rise in anti-LGBTQ+ laws and sentiment there has been a rise in calls from those feeling isolated and afraid, which is why we need support. Our services are free to the public but we pay for each call that comes in, and that number is rising. To be able to keep up with the demand we are in the process of training even more support volunteers and expanding services to those in need. Together the LGBT National Help Center and the community are stepping up to be there for each other and ensure that everyone in our community can continue to find support and affirmation.
